How We Work With Families
We support families through the college and scholarship process in a calm, thoughtful, and structured way — helping parents understand what actually matters at each stage and how to support their children without pressure or panic.
Families come to us at different stages, with different questions and levels of readiness. Our work is flexible and tailored — shaped by each student’s goals, timeline, and needs rather than a one‑size‑fits‑all formula.
Our work is grounded in intentionality rather than urgency or competition.
We currently offer two ways to work together.
Targeted Scholarship Readiness & Strategy Review
A one-time foundation.
Some families are looking for focused guidance about what colleges and scholarship committees value, and how their student can begin building a strong foundation in preparation.
This work typically includes reviewing a student’s current academic and extracurricular picture, discussing what kinds of preparation and experiences help students become strong candidates over time, and helping families understand priorities and tradeoffs.
After this type of engagement, families take the lead in implementing what we’ve discussed, using the perspective and framework they’ve gained.
It includes:
• An intake questionnaire
• A review of your student’s academic context, interests, and goals
• A personalized written roadmap for the coming years
• Guidance on what to focus on and what not to worry about
This is a one-time engagement and does not include ongoing support.
Ongoing College & Scholarship Guidance
Steady support over time.
This is designed for families who want ongoing guidance through planning and application seasons — someone to help them make decisions, adjust direction as things evolve, and stay grounded through a complex and often emotional process.
Ongoing support includes everything offered in Targeted Guidance — and extends it over time.
In ongoing work, we partner with families throughout the student’s development, regularly reviewing progress, reflecting on what’s changing, and helping adjust direction as new choices, opportunities, and challenges arise.
We meet regularly to think through academic planning, extracurricular involvement, balance and sustainability, and how a student’s evolving interests and strengths are coming together. This allows us to guide families not just in understanding what matters, but in navigating how to build and maintain a strong foundation over time.
It includes:
• Strategic planning and positioning
• Timeline and application guidance
• Essay feedback focused on structure, clarity, and voice
• Ongoing support via email and video calls
This is a multi-month engagement with a minimum commitment.
Optional Services
Some families choose to add:
• Punctuation, spelling, and grammar editing
• Singular essay review
These are available by request for additional fees.
What We Do Not Offer
We do not provide guarantees, promise specific outcomes, or offer formulas designed to maximize scholarships or admissions results.
We don’t ghostwrite essays, offer emergency or overnight review, or track submissions for families. Our work is not about quick fixes, résumé building, or last‑minute strategies.
Instead, we focus on informed guidance that helps students prepare thoughtfully over time and make decisions aligned with their goals and values.
How Pricing Works
Because each family’s situation is different, pricing depends on the scope and nature of support. We offer both targeted engagements and ongoing advisory relationships, depending on what feels most appropriate.
We discuss options and fees openly during an initial conversation, once we understand a family’s goals, questions, and timeline.
A Final Note
This work is meant to feel supportive, not stressful. Our goal is to help families feel clearer, calmer, and more confident as they navigate a complex and emotional process.
If you’re curious about whether this might be helpful for your family, you’re very welcome to reach out.
